If you were looking for a spot to meet new people, listen to good music or if you’re just a liker of all nice things…like myself, then TheLinkUp is where you should’ve been on the 6th of August 2016 . The social event, held at Domain Lounge, Fourways , was open for everyone to attend at the cost of R100 at the door but because August is Women’s month Ladies were granted free entrance but just until 5pm. The hosts welcomed ladies with free shots and for the foodies, food was sold at the venue.
The venue indeed was a great spot for socializing and unwinding and it was great to see that everyone was actually linking up. The indoor area and outdoor area were accessible to everyone but people seemed to enjoy the pool area. I loved how they managed to keep the outside area warm with heaters because it got a bit cold in the evening.
To celebrate Women’s month, The Link Up team impressed me by having only female DJs on the line up. The various styles of music and different personalities on the decks contributed in making the entire event a success considering that the DJs did not fail to keep the crowd entertained.
Corium Naturals – A South African natural skincare brand- gave lucky ladies a goodie bag just for attending The Link Up.
The only criticism I have is that the bar services were very slow and I got my food an hour after ordering it. If the service was quicker then I’d give The Link Up a perfect 10/10 but now we’ll just leave it at 9/10.
